Mike Biddle is often called the “Garbage Man” for his work in extracting value from complex
waste streams around the world, yet he won numerous prestigious international awards. Examples include: 2012 Gothenburg Award, often called the Nobel prize for Sustainability (previous winners include Al Gore, Kofi Annan and Gro Harlem Brundtland – former President of Norway). 2014 World Technology Network Award for the Environment (Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, won it for Energy the same year) 2010 Economist Innovation Award for Energy and Environment 2006 Tech Pioneer Award from the World Economic Forum Intel Tech Museum Environmental Award Thomas Alva Edison Award for Innovation and many other international awards. MBA Polymers recently won the overall Katerva Award, hoping to become the “Environmental Nobel”.  |
