We work with a number of organizations around the world to identify and implement solutions to this significant and growing problem. Many players are needed to “turn the tide” of ocean waste:
- local, regional and national government waste management policies
- business development (see more on this under Project/Business Development)
- to collect waste that is being managed improperly today
- to recycle all that can be recycled
- to recover energy from the remaining organic waste
- to find applications, if possible, for the non-organic, non-recycled residue
- to dispose of the remaining residue waste responsibly
